The External Sources report provides valuable insights into where candidates are applying from, whether it's LinkedIn, Jofind, or other job boards platforms. This information helps recruiters and hiring managers understand which sources are most effective for attracting candidates, enabling them to focus efforts and resources on the best-performing channels.

1. Accessing the External Sources Report

  1. Log into Worklife Recruit.

  2. Navigate to the Reports section.

  3. Select External Sources from the list of available reports.

2. Understanding the External Sources Report Data

The External Sources report includes key metrics that help you track and analyze candidate application sources. Here’s an overview of the key fields you’ll find:

  • Stage / External source: The platform from which the candidate applied (e.g., LinkedIn, Indeed, company career site).

  • Number of candidates: The total number of applications received from each source.

  • Conversion Rate: The percentage of applications from each source that moved forward in the recruitment process.

3. Filtering the Data

To refine the report for more targeted analysis, you can use the filtering options:

  • Time period: Select a specific period to see the sources that were most active during that time.

4. Analyzing the Data

Use the report insights to answer questions like:

  • Which platforms bring in the highest volume of applications?

  • Are there sources with high application counts but low conversion rates?

  • Are certain roles or locations performing better on specific job boards?

These insights allow you to optimize job postings, prioritize the most effective sources, and make informed recruiting strategy decisions.

5. Exporting and Sharing the Report

  1. Click Download in Excel format to download the report.

  2. Share the report with team members to discuss strategies and align on recruitment goals.
